Call off the infantry, Counter Launch has arrived! Counter Launch is changing the way music is heard by creating a new genre, Punk Opera. Counter Launch uses the high energy of punk but holds to the theatrics and storytelling of an opera.

Counter Launch consists of four members, Gabriel Valentin on guitar and lead vocals, Stephen Filthy on bass and lead vocals, Adam Sayre on drums and vocals, and Chad Wood on keyboard and vocals. Although Chad, Steven, Adam and Gabe were all born and raised in San Diego, they were never that impressed with the So-Cal pop punk scene. It was legends like Iron Maiden, Bad Religion, Queen, the Misfits and Social Distortion that created the soundtrack for these kids.

Counter Launch has always had a dark heart for the more sinister side of punk and metal, and  that has helped create the band's unmatched sound.
